Barbados Blackbelly sheep are a low-maintenance and robust hair sheep breed (they shed their wool so no shearing or tail docking necessary), prized for their exceptional parasite and disease resistance, and excellent reproductive efficiency. Their ability to thrive on low-quality forage and adapt to varied climates makes them a good choice for both novice and small-acreage farmers. Their coloring is unique, and their meat is lean and delicious.
